Meet Footsie, a 7-8 year old neutered tri color male weighing in at about 49 1/2 pounds. He was relinquished by his owner to a pound in southeast Ohio. No reason was given as to why the owner had to turn him in other than they just didn’t want him anymore. The problem could not have been with Footsie as he is the sweetest guy. The volunteer at the pound said he is laid back and even gets along with cats. Can you imagine being in a home for 10 years and then your owner drops you off at a high kill shelter? Fortunately a rescue volunteer in the area pulled him from certain death and brought him to OBHR’s vet in Columbus. Foot is the sweetest boy, so named by his original owner as he was always underfoot as a pup. His tail wags constantly and he is happy to see everybody! He is really quite active and would make an excellent fitness partner. He is getting along well with the other dogs in his foster home. He was a champ for ear cleaning and was easy to bathe. He is now working on basic manners and housetraining. Foot has the softest brown eyes that will just melt your heart. He will keep you warm at night, watch over you when you are home and give you so much love. He desperately wants to please.
