UPDATE 5/9/14:  Buster is doing well.  He is very affectionate with his foster mama & papa, and his dog & cat foster siblings. He loves walks, travels well in the car, and is housebroken. Large crowds are stressful for Buster so we walk early or late in the day. His health is good, and he is waiting patiently for his forever home.  ​

UPDATE : Introducing Buster, a 7yo neutered Basset male in search of his forever home. He and 4 siblings lived their entire lives outside in a pen. Now he is enjoying a soft bed, good food, & human interaction. He has dog & cat friends, and is cautious with strangers. He jumps and barks at meal time but is not aggressive. We are teaching some manners but Buster is sweet natured and has the energy of a dog half his age! Handsome boy at 28 pounds!   Fill out an application with Ohio Basset Hound Rescue!

Buster is a 7+ year old male who was relinquished along with 4 other companions to OBR because the owners could no longer care for them. They were being kept outside in a wooden house with no straw or hay for warmth. At the urging of the local dog warden they agreed to let Ohio Basset Hound rescue take the dogs. All of the dogs were malnourished and Buster weighed in at about 23 lbs. He is currently at the vet scheduled to be neutered this week and updated on vaccines. After that he will be available to go into a foster or forever home. Buster is a real sweetie. Because he has been part of a pack for so long he will require another companion dog . Buster seems to be a friendly guy.
