Well pilgrim, what we have here is a gorgeous new dog, and this feller's name is The Duke. Now let me tell you a little something about The Duke.

First and foremost he is beautiful with the biggest paws you will find! I'll wait while you go back and look at his picture....told you so! The Duke is an 18 month old red and white male basset who came from a family with 7 kids, so he is good with kids, and other dogs, so he is good with other dogs...but the family also had a cat. The family no longer has a cat. That's when OBHR got The Duke. 'Nuf said, The Duke will NOT be placed in a home with cats.

The Duke has 3 issues his new family will need to be aware of: First, he must be walked on a harness. He wiggles out of collars and can wear them for tag purposes but on a walk his head will slip right out of a collar. He is fine on a leash as long as he wears a harness. Second, The Duke does NOT like to be crated. He is fine in the house, but in a crate he panics and has eaten the door off his crate. Third: As already mentioned, he is also fond of eating cats. The Duke will NOT be place in a home with cats.

The Duke is currently being kenneled near Cincinnati so will be in need of not only a forever home, but also a foster home! He is a real sweet heart and is used to being with a family so let's find this pilgrim a new home faster than a horse can flick a fly off it's fanny with it's tail!

Oh and just in case you missed it before, The Duke will not be placed in a home with cats.
