Help us welcome back to OBHR the handsome Moose! Moose is back through no-fault of his own.
Moose is an 11 month old basset hound who gets along with other dogs but has not been tested around cats. Moose can only go to a home with older children who are at least in their teens.

Moose is a prime example of why rescues tell people that rescue dogs needs the Three 3s. They need three days to decompress in their new home. Three weeks to get to know your schedule. And three months to feel like you're home is now their home.

Don't let his bio scare you. He truly is a GOOD dog and very loving. He loves to snuggle and play, and would do best in a home with another active dog. But Moose has guarding issues.  By this we mean if he has something that he should not have, he may have picked up a sock or snagged a paper towel out of the trashcan, or he may have his own toy, he does not want you to take anything out of his mouth. His foster family worked with him for 3 weeks before he was available for adoption and in that time they gained his trust and were able to take things away from him with no issues. But again this is something that will take TIME and PATIENCE.

Moose needs a home with a fenced in yard. He is being fostered in the Dayton area. His adoption fee is $300. If you are already approved email ohbassetrescue@yahoo.com. Applications can be submitted at ohiobassetrescue.com.

All OBHR dogs are spayed/neutered, UTD on shots, checked for heart worm and on heart guard and flea preventative. If interested in one of our dogs please fill out an application at www.ohiobassetrescue.com today.
