Trey is approximately 4-5 yrs old, rescued from a shelter in Highland County. This dear boy is a true sweet heart. Everyone who has meet him says he's easy going, super friendly and just an all around nice guy. Sadly at some point in Trey's short life he had an accident which required amputation of his back left leg. You would think this would get him down, but not Trey. He's learned how to adapt and moves around quite well with only 3 legs. In fact, a home visit will be required by an OBR representative prior to adoption to see if fencing is adequate. How fast can a 3-legged basset run? Well Trey has proven himself to be quite the escape artist. He certainly does not consider himself challenged and can pull a disappearing act fairly quickly. Trey will require a special home where someone will be diligent about keeping him safe. A home with small children would not work as he would quickly work his way past them at the door. He must have a companion dog so he doesn't have to run away to find friends. Other than his Houdini acts he is a wonderful dog. Very, very loving and quite sociable. He adjusts to new dogs and environments quickly. Trey is truly a class act in every way.Trey is neutered, up-to-date with vaccines, microchipped and on a flea/heart worm preventative.
