Two year old, 40 pound male rescued from a county shelter where his owner had turned him in due to nipping. Our vet found severe elbow dysplasia that had healed crooked. He cut the scar tissue off. Tucker does not love his vet and will freely express this, however he loves his foster parents and transporters - - THEY get kisses, while the vet gets a snap :) When your doctor hurts you, you snap too, don't you?! Tucker is even good with the cats in his foster home. It's just vets that he doesn't like. Tucker has been recovering from his surgery in a foster home. He is getting around quite well now and he must be on a leash outside. Tucker is very well behaved, housebroken, doesn't chew or beg. He gets along very well with cats, but we aren't sure about other dogs. Tucker is super laid back. He loves to cuddle and have his belly rubbed. He is also somewhat small for a basset.
