7/26 UPDATE  Bailey has congestive heart failure. He needs heart medication and requires close monitoring by his vet.  Please consider becoming Bailey's guardian angel by signing up for a monthly sponsorship to help offset the cost of Bailey's meds and vet visits. 

 Bailey is a very kind and loving basset-beagle (bagle) mix. He is about 13 y.o. and is on the overweight side.  He was a faithful companion and truly a blessing for my mother who passed away from cancer not too long ago.  She had a habit of sneaking him too many snacks, which accounts somewhat for his weight, but he always has been a heavy dog. It's really hard to resist the gaze of a bagle!  He is mostly an indoor dog but does love to go for short walks and is used to a fenced-in yard as well. He is used to eating twice a day, but also can do once as needed.  He is up-to-date on all his vaccinations.  While normally a mild-mannered dog, like all bassets, he has a very loud bark when he  to use it. He is good with other dogs, but does not like catsl. He will stare you down for a treat. He has not been around little children much  but he has been no problem at all for adults and youth.
