Update Nov:

We've had Bo and Belle for 3 months now and are seeing bits of personality starting to show.   Bo can be quite the clown with toys or when rubbing his face on a blanket and 'moaning and groaning' while he does it.    Belle has started playing with Bo and some of the toys too.     Still working on the housetraining with Bo but he has improved quite a lot!      They must have a fenced yard because most of the time they will not come when called and are usually hesitant to walk through a doorway if someone is standing there.

We think an all female household would be the best because 99% of the time Belle still tries to avoid Gary and even though Bo will go up to Gary to be petted he still shows a bit of wariness around Gary.

Bo seems to have residual pain/discomfort from an old injury in his back right leg and sometimes requires a pain pill.   Belle has spinal arthritis - a few of her vertebrae are fused and she acts very 'stiff'.    Occasionally she gets a pain pill too and both her and Bo are on daily Glucosamine supplements (Glycoflex III).     They will need to be on the Glucosamine forever.

Belle is very skittish but I can now pet her all over and she rarely ever yelps in fright.   She seems to be bonding with me in that she will whine if she can't see me and will look for me.   She gets all excited and does a little shuffle dance when I come home from work or into the room when she wants me to pet her.   She is such a sweetie!
Note: Bo and Belle cannot be separated and must be adopted together.

Update 8/27:  Bo and Belle have been in our house for a week and are quickly learning the routine with the other dogs.   They're pretty good with the housetraining - only Bo has had a few accidents.   Belle is very skittish...much more so then Bo....sometimes we have to leave the room in order to get her to come into the house from the backyard because if she sees us she might not come in.    They both love being petted and if Belle sees us petting one of our other dogs she'll come up to be petted as well and they will let you pet them for as long as you want!   Bo is having a blast with all the squeaky toys and they are both loving having comfy doggy beds to sleep on.  They would do well in a low-key home environment because shouting and yelling upsets them and makes them want to run outside and hide.

These 2 sweeties are so cute. They are definitely bonded. Belle will not make a move with out Bo. The owner was looking for somebody to shoot them and another group  got them and contacted us. They are both very scared. I laid down in the back of the van and they finally came to me and I got one kiss from Bo. Finally Belle came toward the edge of the van because Bo was in the other truck. Belle walks great if Bo is walking in front of her. She will not eat unless Bo eats. They are housebroken and ok with other dogs. They are 5 years young and need a ton of love!! They are ready for some loving's are you??
