Lexi was adopted from OBHR in 2010 but has been returned to the rescue because her owners were no longer able to care for her. Her companion, Cody, was also returned and both dogs had medical issues that needed attention, with Cody being in much worse shape. Lexi had a urinary tract issue for which she was treated and has now been given a clean bill of health by the vet. She will be 4 years old in November and is spayed, up to date on all vaccines, heartworm treatment and flea prevention. Lexi is a very sweet girl who gets along fine with other dogs and loves affection. She has the most beautiful basset howl and loves to chase the squirrels and birds out of the yard or up a tree. Lexi walks well on a leash with a harness and is crate trained. She will need a fenced yard and another companion who can play with her.
