Our dogs are located throughout the state of Ohio and parts of IN, MI, PA and KY.

Aussie is a Red/White male basset who was picked up by Ohio Basset Hound Rescue from a home along with 4 other bassets that were being neglected. He and his companions were left outside with nothing more than a wooden house with no straw or hay for warmth. Aussie and another of his male companions were chained to their houses.  Thankfully the dog warden stepped in to help convince the owner to relinquish the dogs to rescue. Aussie weighed 24 lbs when he was examined at the vet. He is very timid and is not readily moved into or out of a vehicle or crate. You have to pick him up and once you have him in your arms he will hug you as he is very scared. We don't think he has ever been out of the fenced area they were in. We were told that Aussie will be 4 years old this coming August. He was just neutered and is now up to date on his vaccines, Heartworm and Flea prevention. Aussie will need some extra love and attention to let him know that he is safe now and will be well taken care of.
