Our dogs are located throughout the state of Ohio and parts of IN, MI, PA and KY.

Linus is a Tri color male basset hound who will be 4 years old this coming August. He and 4 other bassets were relinquished by their owner because they were unable to properly care for them. The dogs were all living outside in a fenced area with only wooden houses for shelter with no straw or hay for warmth. Linus had cherry eye in both eyes when he was relinquished to us. He has had surgery to correct this now so is doing better. The vet told us he does have some scarring on his eyes as a result of not being treated for this early on. The vet thinks he can see although his vision may be blurry. Linus is underweight as are all of his companions so he will need to gain a few pounds. He was neutered and is now up to date on his vaccines, heart worm and flea prevention. Linus is very sweet and a little timid. He loves attention and will sit at your feet or let you hold him but he wants to be near people. We believe these dogs never received a lot of human attention so Linus will need some extra care in helping him gain trust with people. Because Linus has been with a pack since he was born he will need another companion animal in any home that wants to adopt him. We have no way of knowing if he is housebroken but would guess he may need some work in that department. He was with 4 other companions so we think he is ok with other dogs. We have no idea about how he is with cats.
