Penny is our current basset. She had a rough time at her adoptive home and was returned to us. She is 5 years old, house trained and very entertaining. She weighed 27 lbs. when adopted at a year old. When we got her, she weighed 52 pounds. She is doing well at the green bean diet and has lost 6 lbs. She will need to stay on this diet til she is no more than 30-35 lbs. She is a small basset. She needs a playmate who will keep her running for exercise. She will not do as well in a home with too many dogs and she will do better in a home without small children and without big dogs. I will adopt her to a family where someone is home part of the day as that was a problem in her last home. I also need a family who will not give her table food or treats. She eats bites of apples here and a biscuit for small dogs once a day. She is very good at begging. She needs to be on grain free food. Penny is spayed and current on shots. She loves to be petted and given attention and sometimes does not want to share attention.
