8/13/14 Update from Merle's foster mom!
Merle's crate training is going good, he still barks a little when he is put in but he will walk in and out on his own at different times of the day. He lets her know when he has to go potty and even woke her up at night once to go out! Loves toys, and loves to play! Gets along with his foster sister very well! He eats well and loves carrots! He is a real cuddle bug and a bed hog!

Folks meet Merle! Merle is an 11 year old male tri-colored basset that is all gentleman!
Merle was released to OBHR by someone who took him in temporarily after his owners gave him up. We don't really know why they gave him up because this dog is the sweetest little man without a mean bone in his body!
Merle is a cuddle bug who would love to sit in your lap while you watch TV. He's not picky, he'll watch sports, reality tv, dramas, westerns...he doesn't care about what's on the tv....he just wants a lap to cuddle on the couch!
This sweetie gets along with other dogs and kids, and judging from the picture we have of him, cats too!
Who would like to help give this sweet senior a retirement home?
Merle is being fostered in Lancaster, OH.
