Meet Miss Maggie
Maggie is a sweetheart of a basset hound with the most soulful of eyes! (I'll wait while you scroll down to look at her pics...told you so)! She is a tiny girl, weighs, only 37 pounds, and is four years old. You can tell she had a litter of pups at some point, but she is spayed now and ready to be just a family member!
Maggie is a snuggler....she likes to lay on your lap and be petted but she is also just as content catching a snooze on the couch or dog bed herself. She appears to be housebroken and knows how to use a dog door. She just came into foster care, so not sure yet if she knows to use the door when she needs to, or just when she wants to!
She is a quiet girl...have only heard her talk when she sees another dog pass by or when playing with her foster brothers. She does not seem to be too interested in toys yet, has dug her nose in the toy box quite often but never actually picked one to play with and be hers!
Maggie came to OBHR from a local shelter who told us she was an owner release because the other dog in the house was mean to her. She is currently in a foster home with 3 other dogs and is not having any issues!
Maggie rides well in the car, walks like a lady on the leash, and sleeps nicely in the crate at night. She is currently being fostered in Vandalia, near Dayton, OH.
