Pepper is my foster dog and she is a pure joy. Her tail wags when you look at her. Any time she can get a belly rub-she’s belly up! She is being fostered with 5 other dogs-bassets and basset mixes-and is doing well.
She is crate trained and doing great with her house training. She walks well on a leash and loves to run in the yard. Pepper is a 4 year old basset-doxie-beagle mix. She craves human attention and affection. She hops in my lap or snuggles next to me if I am on the couch. She would make an excellent agility dog…she can jump the baby gates at my house.
She is eager to please, excited to learn and happiest with a human close by! Being an outside dog before coming to OBHR-we are working on her basic manners-no jumping, sit, etc. She’s a fast learner! She loves treats, nyla bones, and is learning how to be an inside dog.
Her enthusiasm and higher energy level may overwhelm senior dogs and younger kids. She would do well either as a single dog, as long as she has her human(s), or with younger dogs. She must have a fence-she is very fast.
Her heartworm treatment is complete and she is a very healthy girl. She was alone and neglected before coming to OBHR-can you open your heart and your home to this sweet girl? She is truly a gift!
Pepper is being fostered in Deerfield, MI.
